Tips

  • Check times and dates that attractions are open, especially at Stone Mountain Park. Many are closed seasonally.
  • Be sure to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes at Stone Mountain as you must have them to enter the Sky Hike. They're a good idea for all of these attractions.
  • The best spot for picnicking is at Stone Mountain near the Grist Mill.
  • Bicycle rentals are not offered inside Stone Mountain Park. Both bike and scooter rentals are available seasonally in Stone Mountain Village just outside the West Gate.
  • This tour is too extensive to do in one day. I recommended you allow a separate day for each section, but if that is impossible, the aquarium and the zoo work best for one day. Then combine the others by visiting Yellow River Game Ranch first and then Stone Mountain, as you do want to catch the night Lasershow Spectacular.

"Exciting, a whole new concept"
Around The World Travel Radio

"Even though I am a local, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and learning more about the history of the landmarks. The author's interest in the area comes through in his engaging style of writing. Being able to complete the tour at my own pace made it even
more enjoyable."
Flora Savitzky (Researcher)

"When the conference ended, I stayed in town on my own and used T4M's self-guided tour to decide which things in town I wanted to visit and what to see/do there. The guide was right every step of the way. Bottom line, this guide helped me make the most of my time in town."
