Tips

  • The Meal Deal offers real value for families. You can dine all day at selected counter service restaurants. Add a refillable cup, which the whole family can share.
  • Most merchandise is available at the Islands of Adventure Trading Company, which is open at least an hour after park closing. However, Lost Continent souvenirs are unique, and not easily found outside that land. Get what you like while you are there.
  • Central Florida weather can be extremely hot or quite cold, and rain is unpredictable. Dress in layers and carry a poncho, since most attractions are outdoors.
  • Some guidebooks recommend returning to your hotel for an afternoon break. Rather than waste valuable time, consider joining other guests napping on a shaded lawn. Or plan a lengthy late lunch at a table service restaurant.
  • Islands of Adventure sometimes closes early for special events such as the annual Halloween Horror Nights. Check the monthly calendar at Universal's website to see if your visit will be affected.

"Exciting, a whole new concept"
Around The World Travel Radio

"Even though I am a local, I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and learning more about the history of the landmarks. The author's interest in the area comes through in his engaging style of writing. Being able to complete the tour at my own pace made it even
more enjoyable."
Flora Savitzky (Researcher)

"When the conference ended, I stayed in town on my own and used T4M's self-guided tour to decide which things in town I wanted to visit and what to see/do there. The guide was right every step of the way. Bottom line, this guide helped me make the most of my time in town."
